Through the programme, four young people joined the clinic to support administration, patient services and daily operations. Their contribution increased operational capacity while providing valuable workplace experience within the healthcare sector.

The Result

The additional capacity improved workflow, increased productivity and enabled the clinic to serve more patients efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.

Key Outcomes

  • Permanent Employment Commitments: The clinic committed to permanently hiring 2 of the 4 youth participants following the success of the program.

  • Increased Operational Capacity & Productivity: Adding 4 young professionals across administration, patient services, and daily operations boosted workflow and overall clinic output.

  • Streamlined Patient Care & Efficiency: The expanded team helped lower waiting times and handle higher patient volume while maintaining high care standards.

  • Enhanced Community Access & Well-being: Strengthening operational capacity directly improved access to dignified, affordable healthcare for the local Ilitha Park community.

The Impact

The success of the programme has led the clinic to commit to permanently employing two of the four participants. Beyond creating sustainable employment opportunities, the partnership has strengthened access to quality healthcare while demonstrating how youth employment can directly improve community wellbeing.
